Job summary

Compass Palliative Care, a leading California-based palliative care provider, seeks outstanding Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants with experience in palliative and pain management. Our practice serves California patients and provides care in ALF/SNF settings in Cheyenne.

Flexible days and hours are offered to support work-life balance. The practitioner will manage a defined patient load, work with board-certified physicians, and contribute to training and education to improve patient

Qualifications

• Licensed NP or PA in Wyoming.
• Active DEA license required.
• Experience in palliative and pain management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients in ALF/SNF environments.
• Provide palliative and pain management to treat patients.
• Perform pain management procedures as needed.
• Define and document patient diagnoses.
• Prescribe and refill medications.
• Educate patients and families.
• Notate findings and treatment in charts with follow-up notes.
• Participate in departmental activities to improve training and achieve goals.

Our practice provides palliative andpainmanagement appointments for California-based patients. Our practice provides palliative andpainmanagement services in the ALF and SNF settings in the Cheyenne area.

The practitioner will be assigned a specific patientloadfor which they will be responsible. Our program is run by experienced and board-certified physicians who take pride in providing training and in-service education to their staff. They believe in the advancement of their staff as well as creating the best possible outcomes for the patients they serve.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients in an ALF/SNF environment
• Provide palliative and pain management to treat the patient best
• Perform pain management procedures as needed
• Define and document patient diagnoses
• Prescribing and refilling medications
• Patient and family education and management
• Notate findings and treatment course in patient charts, including follow-up notes
• Actively participate in departmental activities to improve training methods and achieve company goals

Requirements

• Must be licensed as an NP or PA in Wyoming
• Must have an active DEA license
