Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing from an approved program.
• Current NP national certification.
• Active state NP license.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care including history taking, physical assessment, and developing therapeutic care plans.
• Communicates with supervising physician and participates in clinical decision making.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests and interprets results to implement treatment plans.
• Educates patients and families on health, medications, and preventive care.
• Ensures accurate EMR documentation and coding support.
• Maintains professional development and participates in safety and quality initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Master’s degree MSN from the practicing State Board of Nursing Approved Master’s Program

National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners through an accredited association

Practicing-state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
