Job summary
Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced nursing care for acute, chronic, or cancer-related pain. You will evaluate, diagnose, and manage pain conditions, collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to improve quality of life.

Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited NP program.
- Currently licensed as NP in states of practice.
- Board certification in family or adult-gerontology NP tracks.
Responsibilities
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (imaging, labs, nerve studies).
- Develop and implement individualized pain management plans.
- Manage opioid and non-opioid regimens with monitoring for efficacy and safety.
- Perform or assist with interventional pain procedures as appropriate.
- Educate patients and families on pain management strategies and side effects.
- Monitor and document patient progress and treatment adjustments.
- Coordinate care with PCPs, specialists, therapists, psychologists, and social workers.
- Participate in pain management program development and quality improvement.
