Midtown Pain & Spine – Administrative in Raleigh, North Carolina, is hiring a Medical Assistant (MA/LPN) to support providers with administrative and clinical tasks. The role supports the clinic’s pain management services and EMR documentation while ensuring patient needs are addressed with professionalism.

The candidate will perform comprehensive intake, document encounters, and assist with pre/post-procedural activities.

Qualificações

• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking.
• Ability to handle high patient volumes in a professional manner.
• Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.

Responsabilidades

• Independently perform a comprehensive patient intake by documenting medical history, chief complaint, medications and imaging.
• Present patient history to the provider prior to examination.
• Document patient encounters in EMR system.
• Prepare relevant diagnostic imaging for review with provider.
• Complete medication prior authorizations, including appeals and denials.
• Review new patient records for past treatments and health history; summarize findings for manager.
• Collect urine samples for drug screening and report non-compliance to provider.
• Review controlled substance registry for inconsistencies and report to provider.
• Collect pre- and post-procedural vitals for interventional procedures.
• Reduce provider workload by performing tasks essential to patient care.
• Return calls from patients, pharmacies, and insurance companies promptly.
• Respond to incoming faxes and maintain professional demeanor.
• Communicate openly with co-workers and providers about patient needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
