Overview

The hospital is ranked high performing in geriatrics and several common procedures and conditions, including heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure, diabetes, COPD, pneumonia, and stroke.

Northwest HealthCare, located six miles west, offers 24-hour emergency care and outpatient services. The Pain Management Center provides services for chronic pain management, including local injections and advanced interventional treatments.

Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards.

Responsibilities
  • Promote patient and family-centered care in a healing environment. Educate patients and families on managing illness, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
  • Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Engage in professional development.
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with goals in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families, ensuring communication across care continuum.
  • Assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs using critical nursing skills, respecting patient preferences and barriers to involvement, including cultural and spiritual needs.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position; the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safety is essential.
Minimum Requirements

Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing

Experience: No experience required

Licenses & Certifications: RN license

Preferred Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Experience: Less than 2 years
