Job summary

American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pain Management Physician to join our established practice in Florida. The role focuses on evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with chronic pain and performing a range of interventional procedures.

You will review imaging, educate patients on options, document in the EMR, and collaborate with referring providers, therapists, and case managers to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology, PM&R, Neurology or related with Pain Management fellowship.
• Active and unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain licensure in Florida).
• DEA registration.
• Clinical and procedural skills.
• Excellent communication and patient care abilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Perform interventional pain procedures including epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, medial branch blocks, RF ablation, sacroiliac injections, peripheral nerve blocks, and spinal cord stimulator trials/implants.
• Review diagnostic imaging and test results.
• Educate patients on treatment options and expected outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
• Collaborate with referring providers, specialists, therapists, and case managers.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice growth efforts.

This physician will work collaboratively with a team of providers and support staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
