Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Burlington, MA is seeking a part-time Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures across OR, ER, inpatient and outpatient settings while adhering to ALARA and safety standards.

The role requires documenting patient information, contrast use, RIS/PACS operation, accurate labeling, and contributing to quality control with a target repeat rate below 5%. Licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Two year AMA accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered by the ARRT or registry eligible.
• Licensed by MA Department of Public Health Radiation Control Program in Radiography.
• Certified in basic life support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to produce images for diagnosis and treatment.
• Obtains and documents patient information/history for exams.
• Documents IV/oral contrast usage in medical records.
• Initiates and completes exams using RIS with accuracy.
• Labels images with patient info and technologist initials.
• Ensures quality control using PACS and maintains low repeat rate (<5%).
• Applies ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Contributes to team-based patient care and may work off-site as needed.
• Maintains licensure annually and participates in education and QA activities.
