Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures across OR, ER, and inpatient/outpatient settings in Massachusetts. The role emphasizes ALARA principles, accurate RIS/PACS use, and maintaining licensure.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with radiographic equipment (C-arms/portable), document patient data, and participate in quality improvement and on-call rotation as required.

Qualifications

  • Two year AMA accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered by the ARRT or registry eligible; Licensed by the MA Department of Public Health: Radiology
  • Proficient in Radiologic equipment including C-arms/portable or capable of rapid training
  • Clinical internship completed in a hospital setting

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to produce images for diagnosis and treatment.
  • Obtains patient information/history for the exam.
  • Documents use of IV/oral contrast in medical record.
  • Uses RIS with accuracy for exams.
  • Labels images with patient information and technologist’s initials accurately.
  • Ensures quality control of exams using the PACS system.
  • Maintains image quality with acceptable repeat rate (<5%).
  • Applies ALARA to minimize radiation dose while achieving clear images.
  • Contributes to teamwork to provide quality patient care.
  • May work at off-sites as needed.
  • Maintains licensure annually.
