Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse within the Integrative Pain Specialists team to support both ambulatory and procedural pain care. The role involves coordinating patient care using nursing processes to improve safety, function, and quality of life for patients 10 years and older.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Arizona and BLS certification are required; additional certs may be needed by department.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, and consults with other specialists to ensure safe nursing care.
• Writes or obtains nursing histories, assess conditions, and develops individualized care plans.
• Conducts rounds, reviews patient status, and documents progress.
• Notifies physicians of unusual events and coordinates with the care team.
• Implements patient education and reinforces instructions for patients and families.
• Maintains aseptic technique and manages IV lines as required.
• Oversees patient movement and positioning to ensure safety.
• Adheres to safety policies and departmental standards.
