Job summary

Tucson Medical Center's Integrative Pain Clinic is seeking a Physician Assistant to support physicians in managing patients with acute and chronic pain. The role involves diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in inpatient, outpatient, and operating room settings under supervision.

Hours can vary; 4-10s or 5-8s may apply. The ideal candidate is experienced and passionate about pain care, with eligibility for Arizona PA licensure and CPR/DEA certification.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or PA program completed.
• Internship and 3 years of experience required.
• Arizona PA license with CPR, DEA, and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients, prescribe medicine, and order diagnostic tests.
• Assist in discharge or chronic planning and patient education.
• Review scheduled patients weekly with physicians or surgeons.
• Documentation of patient visits and history/physical.
• Assist surgeons in operating room as needed; first or second assistant.
• Coordinate care in rheumatology outpatient setting.
