Job summary

Essentia Health is offering a no-cost Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program at the Northern Pines Care Center, with immediate income during training. This flex position (0.6-0.9 FTE) provides hands-on experience and a pathway to CNA certification, funded by the company.

Upon certification, compensation follows the Essentia Health CNA pay scale. As a CNA Trainee you will assist licensed staff with personal care, maintain a safe environment, help with meals and activities, support

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed professionals and direct care staff with personal care tasks per care plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents.
• Assist with meal setup, water service, and other basic personal care needs.
• Provide activities and exercise opportunities as assigned.
• Support residents with psychosocial needs and emotional well-being.
• Observe and promptly report changes in residents' conditions to supervisors.

Building Location: Northern Pines Medical Center Department: 2133090 NURSING HOME - NPMC SNF Job Description: Become a Certified Nursing Assistant with Essentia Health - No-Cost Training Opportunity! The Essentia Health Northern Pines Care Center team is excited to partner with Advanced Minnesota to offer free Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training for individuals interested in beginning a rewarding career in healthcare. This program covers the full cost of education and the certification exam required to become a CNA. Participants will also earn income while training by providing indirect care to patients.

Education Qualifications: This is a Flex position (0.6-0.9) - 24-36hr per week. Rate of Pay: $15.00/hour during training CNA wage upon certification, based on Essentia Health Virginia Care Center's CNA pay scale.

As a CNA Trainee, You Will:

• Assist licensed professionals and direct care staff with personal care tasks based on individualized care plans to ensure residents' comfort.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents.
• Assist with meal setup, water pass, and other basic personal care needs.
• Provide activities and exercise opportunities as assigned.
• Support residents with psychosocial needs and emotional well-being.
• Observe and promptly report any changes in residents' conditions to supervisors.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with entrance screening and other duties as assigned.
