Job summary

PEG, LLC is seeking motivated individuals to learn Energy Sustainability and Building Energy Performance for new residential construction. The role includes paid on-the-job training to perform Home Energy Audits per RESNET guidelines and Energy Star standards.

Auditors will inspect materials, collect data, test systems, and prepare electronic audit reports while traveling daily within a 100-mile radius centered on Pottstown, PA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certifications in HERS, Energy Star, Green Building, ACCA 310 HVAC Grading, IECC, HVAC EPA, BPI, and LEED are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform Home Energy Audits in accordance with RESNET/Energy Star Guidelines including visual inspections of materials and control assemblies.
• Collect data and visually observe energy efficient features; document model/serial numbers and installation quality of duct work, insulation, and ventilation.
• Utilize testing equipment for infiltration, Blower Door, ventilation, duct leakage, and building air flow/pressure tests.
• Adjust system settings to meet design or manufacturer specifications.
• Develop relationships with builders and code officials through professional communication.
• Prepare electronic written audit reports and complete internal paperwork.
• Maintain equipment per policy and manufacturer specs and travel within the assigned 100-mile radius.
