Platte Valley Equipment, The Ag Division of Brandt Holdings, offers a Service Technician Internship at its Wahoo, NE location. The two-year program combines classroom and lab training with hands-on experience to prepare you for professional service technician roles.

You'll gain certifications in Electrical, Hydraulics, and Service Advisor, complete John Deere University credits, and receive tuition and books coverage, a tool reimbursement, and paid internships.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license mandatory.
• Interest in learning repair methods for outdoor power equipment.
• Fundamental knowledge of engines, hydraulics, powertrains and electrical systems.
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Complete two years of classroom and lab training with a 2.7 GPA.
• Complete internship requirements within the Student Tech program.
• Attain certification in Electrical, Hydraulics, and Service Advisor training.
• Meet the total credit requirements of the John Deere University curriculum.
• Follow safety protocols and complete reports and forms.
• Provide assistance to senior technicians as required.
• Perform basic service tasks competently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Account for all time and materials used.
• Develop proficiency in removal, disassembly, and reconditioning.
• Potentially conduct pre-delivery setup and inspection.
