KEITH Engineering Design is offering a Survey and Mapping Internship for Summer 2027 in Pompano Beach, FL. You will work with seasoned surveyors, field crews, and office staff to gain hands-on experience in land surveying practices, data collection, and equipment operation.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in surveying or geomatics, eager to learn surveying methods and software, and capable of working outdoors with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Current pursuit of a degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related field.
• Interest in land surveying, geospatial technology, and construction disciplines.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from senior staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the field crew in performing land surveys and measurements under supervision.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment (total stations, GPS units, levels).
• Participate in fieldwork: set up equipment, take measurements, record data.
• Assist in topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys as directed.
• Learn to interpret survey plans and legal descriptions for data processing.
• Support data processing and analysis using surveying software under guidance.
