Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company offers a paid Management & Sales Internship in Schaumburg, IL, a 10-12 week summer program that provides hands-on experience in retail management, sales, and store operations. Interns travel with a Sales Representative and engage with the management team on projects addressing real business needs.

You will gain experience in customer service, product knowledge, merchandising, and teamwork, with exposure to outside sales and leadership development.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a college or university at the time of the internship.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends as required.
• Driver's license preferred or beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and professional customer service in-store and over the phone.
• Assist customers and contribute to sales goals through effective support.
• Develop strong product knowledge to answer inquiries and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Restock shelves, support merchandising, and assist with store operations.
• Help with point-of-sale transactions, product preparation, and general store maintenance.
• Support logistics with unloading deliveries and organizing stockrooms.
• Participate in required training and adhere to store policies and loss prevention protocols.
• Collaborate with teammates to resolve customer concerns and complete shared tasks.
• Participate in a team-based project addressing a real business challenge or store initiative.
