Mach Industries in the United States is seeking summer interns for Mechanical Engineering to contribute to next-generation defense platforms. This paid, in-person 12-week internship offers hands-on work across design, prototyping, testing, and systems integration.

You'll engage in CAD design, prototyping, and analysis, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build robust mechanical hardware suitable for harsh environments. Summer 2027 in our offices.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Strong problem-solving and end-to-end ownership.
• Interest in defense tech and autonomous systems.
• Available to complete an in-person 12-week internship in Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design — CAD, assemblies, mechanisms, and structural components for next-generation systems.
• Prototyping & manufacturing — turning designs into hardware through machining, fabrication, 3D printing, and other processes.
• Testing & validation — building test setups, running experiments, analyzing results, and improving designs.
• Structures & mechanisms — designing components for demanding mechanical, thermal, and environmental requirements.
• Systems integration — integrating mechanical hardware with electrical, embedded, and autonomous systems.
• Engineering tools & analysis — simulations, modeling, tolerance analysis, and tools that accelerate hardware development.
