Job summary

Textron Aviation invites an engineering intern to support the Able team with direct engineering assistance for repair and overhaul operations. You will help ensure proper documentation and tooling, acting as a liaison among operations, quality, development engineering, and tooling to enable maintenance in the production area.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning, collaboration, and contributing to process improvements. Summer internship spans ~10 weeks, with 40 hours per week, onsite in Mesa.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Strong communication and analytical skills are required.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and develop technical blueprints.
• Support manufacturing processes to improve quality and reduce cycle time.
• Assist Quality dept in identifying root cause and implementing corrective actions.
• Assist in developing tools for design and fabrication processing.
• Vet new processes to determine feasibility and cost.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and quality.
