Job summary

The Lemont Refinery is seeking a Construction/Maintenance Planning Intern to learn refinery processes and safety practices under experienced planners. The 12-week paid internship is on-site at the CITGO Refinery in Lemont, IL, with a final presentation of experiences and accomplishments.

Expected hourly pay ranges from $22.47 to $32.38. Applicants should be enrolled in a Construction Management bachelor’s program, with a GPA of 3.0+ and the ability to work full-time during the term.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Construction Management Bachelor's Degree program and be at least a sophomore in college.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Able to commit to forty hours per week during the internship period.

Responsibilities

• Assist or perform maintenance duties including planning, scheduling, and ordering materials.
• Assist with schedule development interfacing with execution contractor to maximize schedule and minimize manpower and cost.
• Collaborate with Operations, Reliability Engineering, Process Engineering, Inspection and Safety to support safe, reliable plant operation.
