Job summary

Textron Aviation invites students to join a 10‑week summer internship focusing on structural analysis in support of new designs and production. You will review drawings, perform FE analyses, and document findings for FAA compliance, working onsite with experienced engineers.

Eligible candidates are pursuing Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering, with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Professional and diplomatic demeanor; strong analytical/problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Review Engineering Drawings and Digital Data to ensure load path strength and stiffness
• Keep detailed Stress Notes on design changes and production non-conformances
• Utilize Finite Element Software to solve complex structural problems
• Prepare Structural Reports supporting FAA compliance findings
