Job summary

National Life Group offers an on-site Social Media Intern role designed for current undergraduates. You will contribute to real campaigns, gain hands-on experience in social media marketing, and focus on graphic design using Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.

The ideal candidate is visually creative, collaborates well with teams, and can manage multiple projects while embracing trends and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Current college student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Advertising, or related field.
• Interest in social media, digital marketing and visual storytelling.
• Experience with Canva and familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and/or other Creative Cloud applications.
• Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
• Strong visual instincts and typography, composition and brand consistency.
• Interest in short-form video creation and editing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to take direction and feedback while bringing new ideas.

Responsibilities

• Design engaging social media graphics and assets using Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Create content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn across platforms.
• Assist with short-form video, motion graphics, carousels and static graphics.
• Translate campaign concepts and priorities into compelling social content.
• Apply National Life Group brand standards across social creative.
• Develop content for integrated marketing campaigns and organizational priorities.
• Turn campaigns into platform-specific content that is clear and engaging.
• Brainstorm concepts, visual directions, copy ideas and new approaches.
• Collaborate with designers, writers, marketers and subject matter experts.
• Respond to social media requests and manage project flow.
• Participate in team brainstorms and creative reviews.
