Job summary

Master Boat Builders, Inc. in Alabama offers a paid 3–4 week hands-on training program focused on learning the basics of shipyard work, outfitting techniques, and safety protocols. The schedule runs 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday–Thursday and 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Qualifications

  • Basic mechanical aptitude. (Must be able to complete a basic aptitude written test)
  • Strong reading and comprehension skills.
  • Strong willingness to learn and improve skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Availability to work from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Monday-Thursday) and 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Friday).
  • Ability to come to work regularly and on time and adhere to the attendance policies of Master Boat Builders.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a 3-4 week, PAID, hands-on training program focused on learning the basics of shipyard work as well as Outfitting Techniques.
  • You will learn applicable safety protocols and how to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist in various welding and fitting tasks and projects under the guidance of the Training Manager.
  • Engage in continuous learning and skill development to prepare for future opportunities within the company.
