Job summary

Master Boat Builders, Inc. in Alabama offers a paid 3–4 week hands-on training program focused on learning the basics of shipyard work, outfitting techniques, and safety protocols. Trainees will gain practical experience under the guidance of the Training Manager. Participants should have basic mechanical aptitude, good reading skills, and a willingness to learn.

The schedule runs 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday–Thursday and 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Qualifications

  • Basic mechanical aptitude. (Must be able to complete a basic aptitude written test)
  • Strong reading and comprehension skills.
  • Strong willingness to learn and improve skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Availability to work from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Monday-Thursday) and 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Friday).
  • Ability to come to work regularly and on time and adhere to the attendance policies of Master Boat Builders.
