Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) invites highly motivated graduate students to join a ten-week analytics internship in Chicago, IL. You will work with cross-functional teams on real business projects, learning how to analyze data and translate insights into member-focused solutions.

Under mentorship, you will conduct research, build recommendations, and contribute to enterprise initiatives. The program emphasizes HIPAA compliance, data quality, and professional development through

Qualifications

Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving, innovation, and data quality awareness.
Pursuing a master's or higher degree in analytics or related field.
Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., TQM, Six Sigma) is a plus.
Experience with Excel and data tools is beneficial.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a team setting.
Available for the full 10-week duration and eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Actively participate in the internship program and contribute to project work.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze information and develop recommendations.
Support development of solutions addressing organizational needs.
Learn and apply process, program, and technology aspects of the organization.
Deliver a final internship presentation to department leadership.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable policies (HIPAA etc.).
