About Us:

We’re on a mission to bring the power of modern marketing to B2B technical industries, so they can achieve greater success. For over a decade, we’ve helped B2B marketers in technical, industrial, and manufacturing industries accelerate growth through highly effective websites and powerful digital marketing.

About the Opportunity:

Windmill Strategy is seeking an experienced Paid Search Analyst to join our marketing team. Qualified applicants will be responsible for tracking online trends, analyzing data, developing campaign strategies, optimizing and reporting on digital campaign performance, and will have direct communication with clients. This person will have direct PPC experience and agency experience or B2B experience, as well as a broad understanding of digital marketing principles. They will also be a core contributor to Windmill’s Digital Marketing team and its digital marketing policies, best practices, and offerings, while leading those that are paid search specific.

The Digital Marketing Analyst is expected to be an advocate and go-to expert for a wide range of paid digital marketing-related activities and will serve as the source of knowledge for Google Analytics for the agency, and utilize/suggest other analytics tools that may help propel the agency forward. This person must be comfortable meeting with and presenting big-picture planning to clients and new business prospects, as well as rolling up their sleeves to bring strategic recommendations to life in partnership with copy, design, and code-focused counterparts.

This is a full-time, remote/WFH position on a fully virtual team.

About You:

You are a hands-on problem-solver with a passion for data analysis and integrity. Additionally, you enjoy creating and implementing digital marketing strategies with a multi-functional team, ensuring Windmill delivers the best possible results and customer experience for its clients and customers.

Here are the key qualities we’re looking for:

  • Analytical Thinking: You enjoy digging into data, solving problems, and using insights to drive smart decision-making. You have a background in marketing analytics and bring meticulous attention to detail to your analysis and recommendations.
  • Strategic Mindset: You think beyond surface-level execution, connecting tactics to business goals and digital marketing strategy. You're comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Detail-Oriented: You take pride in the precision and accuracy of your work - whether it's tagging, reporting, or configuring campaigns - and maintain high standards for data integrity and campaign quality.
  • Collaborative Approach: You work well with cross-functional teams and build trusted relationships internally and externally. You're proactive in aligning with others and ensuring your work fits seamlessly into broader efforts.
  • Client Centered Communication: You have strong verbal and visual communication skills and know how to present complex data in a clear, approachable way that supports decision-making and earns trust.
  • Adaptability: You stay calm and effective under pressure, keep up with fast-changing platforms and tools, and can quickly shift gears based on client needs or new priorities.
  • Leadership: You’re comfortable mentoring others, contributing to process improvements, and supporting new business initiatives. You show initiative and ownership in everything from internal collaboration to client strategy. You’re confident assigning work, providing direction, and ensuring others have what they need to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Technical Acumen: You’re comfortable doing the hands-on work and learning new tools, platforms, technologies and tactics, as well as speaking about the work with clients and team-members.

You Will:

  • Build and optimize powerful B2B PPC campaigns to build brand awareness, MQLs and SQLs for our clients, who primarily serve niche markets and industries.

  • Spearhead Google Analytics knowledge, providing training and guidance to clients and team members on best practices, data integrity, and reporting features.
  • Provide training on Google Tag Manager, analytics tools, and PPC principles to support internal education and client understanding.
  • Use internal client data from CRM systems such as Hubspot, Zoho, Salesforce, etc., to inform paid strategy.
