Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center invites new graduates to join the HCA Healthcare Residency Program, a year-long paid experience designed to bridge classroom learning and clinical practice, with mentoring from nurse educators and experienced staff.

As an RN Resident, you will assess patients, perform procedures, administer medications, and educate families, while collaborating with the care team to deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the state.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered and document care.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Provide proactive, patient-centered care and respond to requests.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, plan and medications.
