Job summary

Lycoming Engines, a Textron Systems brand, offers a 10-week summer internship focused on procurement and supply chain exposure. You will work on real projects alongside experienced professionals to develop skills in purchasing, supplier relations, and process improvement.

The role includes participation in mandatory procurement meetings, learning inventory and quality processes, and gaining exposure to executive management while supporting contract-related initiatives at the Williamsport, PA

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS or MS in materials, integrated supply chain, or related field.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Participate in mandatory procurement meetings.
• Gain exposure to Inventory Management Process, Quality Improvement Processes, and Value Stream Improvement Process.
• Understand the purchasing function.
• Managing PO dates
• Provide Documentation of indirect Spend Purchases and competing expense reports
• RRQ project for a Contract Management Tool
• Partner with the supplier quality engineering intern on supplier rationalization project.
• Gain exposure to executive management.
