Job summary

Intermountain Electronics in Utah offers a 2027 Spring Pre-Apprenticeship Program for Electrical Technicians or Fabricators. You will learn under mentors, perform entry-level tasks, and gain hands-on experience while earning college credits.

No prior experience is required, and the program includes on-the-job training, housing and meal plans, and potential long-term employment after completion.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old by start of program.
• High school diploma or GED or on track to graduate before start.
• Must be accepted into USU Eastern Pre-Apprenticeship Program and complete enrollment.
• Must pass Intermountain Electronics' pre-employment process including background check and drug screen.
• Ability to read and understand basic instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team.
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and regular attendance.
• Ability to safety perform physical work (standing, lifting, bending, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Learn from experienced mentors in a real manufacturing environment.
• Perform entry-level production and fabrication or electrical assembly tasks.
• Safely operate tools, equipment after training.
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards.
• Participate in on-the-job training and classroom instruction.
• Develop technical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Maintain professionalism and positive attitude throughout the program.
• Complete assigned projects and training objectives.
• Rotate through multiple departments to learn new skills.
