Cerit y Partners in Cincinnati is seeking a Tax Prep Intern to join a collaborative tax team. This paid internship offers 25-30 hours per week from January to mid-April, providing hands-on, career-related experience for students pursuing Finance, Accounting, or related business degrees.

You will assist with federal, state and local returns, prepare workpapers, and use tax tech tools. The role emphasizes integrity, confidentiality, and strong communication within a professional environment.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an undergraduate program with a minimum 3.2 GPA.
• Majoring in Finance, Accounting, or related business degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Applications.
• Active campus involvement or professional work experience.
• Identify with Cerity Partners’ mission and demonstrate core values.
• Strong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Keen, consistent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local individual and business income tax returns in UltraTax CS.
• Create workpapers in Engagement Manager and SurePrep that tell the story of project preparation.
• Utilize FirmFlow and GoFileRoom to maintain an accurate status of workflows.
• Research and analyze a wide range of tax issues.
• Other duties as requested by Tax Advisors and Tax Administrators.
