Job summary

UNC Health is offering a full-time Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program (MAAP) at UNC Internal Medicine at Weaver Crossing. The 12-month program blends on-the-job training (up to 2,000 hours) with 144 hours of online coursework to prepare for the Certified Medical Assistant credential.

Apprentices will progress through three learning phases in an outpatient clinic setting. Upon completion, participants may take the NHA Medical Assistant Certification exam and pursue a permanent Medical
