Job summary

The LNA-In-Training program at Central Vermont Medical Center (CVMC) offers hands-on patient care experience under licensed nurses, with didactic and clinical components.

Course runs Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm; after licensure, Trainees transition into full-time roles on their assigned unit with 3 twelve-hour shifts and every-other-weekend rotations. CVMC provides health, dental, vision, PTO, and more benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required for hospital units.
• GED completed or in progress is required for the Skilled Nursing Facility (Woodridge).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• The LNA-In-Training participant performs under the supervision of Licensed Nurses in direct services for the patients and assists in unit function.
• Follows CVMC/WDR policies and procedures and supports the Nursing Department objectives.
• Completes assigned duties and is accountable to the Unit Manager and Charge Nurse.
