Central Vermont Medical Center offers a paid LNA training program with a clear pathway from training to full-time clinical roles. The didactic and clinical components run as part of the 2027 schedule, with trainees transitioning into 3 12-hour shifts and every-other-weekend rotations after licensure.
Participants will work under licensed nurses, gain hands-on patient care, and join a supportive team across multiple units, with wages and benefits while attending school.

The LNA-In-Training participant performs under the supervision of Licensed Nurses in direct services for the patients and assists in unit function. Responsible for completing assigned duties and accountable to the Unit Manager and Charge Nurse. Functions within Nursing Department and CVMC/Woodridge (WDR) policies and procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the Nursing Department and CVMC/WDR.
The Didactic and Clinical components of the course will be held Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:00pm. Following the completion of the course and after sitting for the LNA licensure exam, Trainees will then transition into their Full-Time roles on their assigned unit and work 3 12-hr shifts and every other weekend rotations.
High school diploma or G.E.D. is required for positions within hospital units.
High school diploma, G.E.D. completed or in progress required for positions within the Skilled Nursing Facility (Woodridge).
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must demonstrate ability to follow instructions and a willingness to learn.
