Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a full-time student intern for their PCC Airfoils – Ceramics division in Wickliffe, OH. The role supports lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects across engineering, with 6S audits and data-driven analysis.

You will assist in identifying process improvements, performing operational studies, and applying lean tools to cut waste. Housing or travel stipends may be available, with potential for full-time employment after graduation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and 6S methodology and related improvement tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel; Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Perform operational studies and engineering analysis.
• Assist in lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement implementation.
• Conduct and participate in 6S audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Identify and recommend process improvements for specified projects.
• Analyze processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop 6S solutions.
• Collect and analyze data related to 6S implementation to track progress.
• Assist in other lean projects, including process improvement and root cause analysis.
• Utilize lean manufacturing skills to reduce waste and unnecessary movement in key operations.
• Take ownership and responsibility for identified projects.
