Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a Learning & Development Intern to assist in designing, delivering, and administering training programs for the Family History Department. The role supports onboarding, manager development, and broader learning initiatives across the department, coordinating logistics, calendars, invitations, and records.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and public speaking abilities.
• Positive, engaging, and customer-focused demeanor.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Effective time management and prioritization.
• Experience using collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
• Ability to build positive relationships with learners and stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of Excel and spreadsheet fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 tools.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and learner engagement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Respond to questions from new hires, managers, and course participants
• Manage communications through a shared training email account
• Coordinate and support onboarding and leadership development programs
• Present or co-present onboarding and other learning sessions
• Assist managers in navigating learning and development resources
• Track training participation, completion, and feedback metrics
• Facilitate focus groups and gather stakeholder input
• Support additional Talent & Culture and Learning & Development projects
