Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a FamilySearch Learning & Development Intern to support design, delivery, and administration of training programs for the Family History Department. You will help with onboarding, leadership development, and organization-wide learning initiatives while coordinating logistics and evaluating training effectiveness.

We value energetic, service-oriented individuals with teaching or public speaking experience and knowledge of Microsoft 365

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and public speaking abilities.
• Positive, engaging, and customer-focused demeanor.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Effective time management and prioritization.
• Experience using collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
• Ability to build positive relationships with learners and stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of Excel and spreadsheet fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 tools.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and learner engagement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate training logistics and calendars.
• Create class invitations, track attendance and completion.
• Issue certificates and monitor a shared training inbox.
• Survey participants and summarize feedback; measure training effectiveness.
• Present or co-present onboarding and learning sessions.
• Assist in development of new training programs and focus groups.
• Support RootsTech and other department events as assigned.
• Engage in Talent & Culture initiatives and relate with stakeholders.
