Job summary

Americo Services Inc. is hosting a summer IT internship in Kansas City, MO. This on-site, 10-week program offers hands-on project work, shadowing experienced team members, and collaboration across levels.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an IT-related degree and possess strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills. The internship requires residency in the Kansas City metro area during June–August 2027 and offers a paid experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in an IT-related field (CS, IT, IS, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Math).
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking.
• Able to work effectively in a team and maintain attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of IT concepts (networks, OS, databases, software dev, cybersecurity).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support IT team with day-to-day operations, projects, and technical initiatives
• Contribute to current IT projects and departmental goals
• Assist with troubleshooting, testing, and resolving technical issues
• Help develop, document, and improve processes, tools, and templates
• Conduct research and data collection on technologies, tools, and best practices
• Maintain accurate records, notes, and documentation related to assigned projects
• Assist in preparing presentation materials, reports, and status updates
• Collaborate with team members to plan, communicate, and execute project work
• Perform other duties as assigned
