This role involves participating in on-the-job training while working toward a two-year associate's degree in the John Deere TECH program, focusing on key technical concepts to become an effective service technician.

Interns will complete extensive training and certifications in Electrical, Hydraulics, and Service Advisor, gaining hands-on experience in the service department. A minimum high school diploma and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Maintain minimum required GPA based on specific school requirements.
• Interest in learning methods used in the repair of outdoor power equipment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Complete classroom and lab training at John Deere Tech School.
• Complete internships at the dealership.
• Obtain certification in Electrical, Hydraulics, and Service Advisor training.
• Assist senior technicians and perform basic service tasks.
• Maintain a clean work area and account for all time/material used.

Skills

Interest in learning methods, materials, tools and techniques

Fundamental knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trains

Ability to read, write, and speak effectively

Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.

Willingness to learn and work hard

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent experience
