Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road is seeking a Summer Heavy Civil Engineering Intern to gain hands-on field experience on major Dallas/Fort Worth area projects. Interns will work under seasoned professionals on real projects and participate in social and volunteer events.

The 12-week, paid internship starts May 17, 2027 and ends August 6, 2027. Reporting to a project supervisor, interns will learn about planning, safety, and project execution on active sites.

Qualifications

• Active junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar.
• Targeted graduation between Aug 2027 and Dec 2028.
• Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week and commute onsite.

Responsibilities

• Process submittals: review, stamp, file and distribute.
• Send RFIs to architects and engineers.
• Update construction drawings, specs, shop drawings and samples.
• Participate in weekly safety meetings and take meeting minutes.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination.
