Baker Hughes invites students in the United States to join the 2027 University Internship in Engineering and Technology. This program provides hands-on experience on real projects, with mentorship to accelerate learning.

You will support engineers, perform data analysis, contribute to design, and help develop new products while learning about HS&E culture and the Baker Hughes way of working.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/STEM with GPA ≥ 3.0
• Fluent in English and strong communication skills
• Willing to relocate for the duration of the internship (locations vary)
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Complete internal projects to deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements
• Assist engineers or technologists with ongoing projects by conducting research, data analysis, and providing technical support
• Participate in the design process, creating drawings or prototypes, and contributing to the development of new products or technologies
• Keep accurate records of experiments, designs, and project‑related information, and prepare reports or documentation as needed
• Collaborate in software development, coding, or programming tasks with engineers
• Work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues, engineers, and supervisors to achieve project goals, and identify and address technical issues
• Apply Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance
