Vertin offers a paid Funeral Director Internship Program designed for new graduates who want real training and support as they start their careers in funeral service. With history dating back to 1904 and 90+ funeral homes across eight states, Vertin emphasizes mentorship, structured development, and a cohort of fellow interns.

Location includes a network of homes nationwide, and the program features a clear development plan, hands-on practice, and exposure to varied settings from rural to urban

Qualifications

• Degree completed or in progress from Accredited Mortuary Science Program as required in the applicable state.
• Successful completion of the National Board Examination after internship completion.
• Successful completion of the applicable State Board Examination after internship completion.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies in a professional, organized, and caring manner.
• Care for the deceased with dignity, including removal, embalming, cosmetology, dressing, and casketing.
• Build strong community relationships through involvement in local organizations and charitable events.
• Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Follow all professional, state, and federal licensing regulations and rules that apply to funeral service.
