Job summary

The City of Alabaster offers the Alabaster Strong Fire Internship Program through the Alabaster Fire Department. This paid internship is designed for local high school students seeking a future in the fire service and provides hands-on experience working with department professionals.

Open to students living in the Alabaster community, including Thompson High School attendees, private school students, or home-schooled students.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in the 11th or 12th grade.
• At least 17 years of age and able to provide parental or legal guardian consent.
• Lives within the Alabaster community.
• Available to work approximately 15–20 hours per week.
• Maintains good academic standing.
• Able to successfully complete a physical examination, background check, and drug screening.
