Job summary

Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta is seeking an Event Sales & Services Intern for Spring 2027 to gain hands-on event management experience with the Event Sales and Services team.

Interns will assist with planning and executing events from weddings to corporate galas, with a path from shadowing coordinators to leading an event.

Applicants should be 21+, pursuing event management or hospitality, with excellent customer service and teamwork. This is a paid, experiential internship.

Qualifications

• Interest or major in event management, hospitality, or related field.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Interns must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Schedule varies 3–4 days per week; 20–24 hours weekly, may include weekends/holidays.
• Paid internship with hands-on event management experience.

Responsibilities

• Shadowing Event Services staff across pre-planning, execution and breakdown.
• Coordinate with catering captains for day-of run-through and onsite timeline management.
• Assist with client and vendor interactions and oversee event volunteers.
• Support team with administrative duties and day-to-day office tasks.
