Georgia Aquarium, Inc. is seeking an Event Sales & Services Intern for Spring 2027. This on-site, paid internship provides real-world event management experience with weddings, galas, corporate events and nonprofit fundraisers.

Interns shadow coordinators, coordinate with catering, assist with client/vendor interactions, and help with administrative tasks as part of a three‑phase program. Applicants must be at least 21 and available 20–24 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Interest or major in event management, hospitality, or related field.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Interns must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Schedule of 3–4 days per week with 20–24 hours on average; weekends/holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Shadowing Event Services staff in all aspects of an event including pre‑planning, preparing the event space, overall event execution and breakdown as well as problem solving as needed.
• Coordinate with catering captains for day of run‑through and onsite management of event timeline.
• Assisting with client and vendor interactions as well as overseeing event volunteers.
• Support team with administrative duties and day‑to‑day office tasks.
