Job summary

SCS Engineers is offering a summer 2027 internship in our Madison, WI office for students pursuing geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, or related fields. You will work with experienced professionals on projects covering soil and groundwater investigation, GIS tasks, brownfield redevelopment, and site development while gaining practical exposure to environmental operations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, soil science, environmental science, environmental or geological engineering and graduating by June 2029 required.
• Must be willing to live in the Madison area for Summer 2027 (housing will not be provided).
• ArcGIS and/or AutoCAD experience preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing required.

Responsibilities

• Soil, groundwater, and vapor investigation/remediation sampling.
• Phase I Environmental Site Inspections.
• GIS Projects.
• Laboratory data management and review.
• Reporting and calculation preparation.
• Design assistance.
