Job summary

SCS Engineers is seeking a Summer 2027 intern for our Overland Park, KS office. This internship offers hands-on experience in technical and environmental business operations across client projects, helping you build the start of your career path.

You’ll work with experienced professionals on site inspections, GIS, soil and groundwater investigation/remediation, brownfield redevelopment, and site development. Typical schedule is 40 hours per week, based in Overland Park office.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, soil science, environmental science, environmental or geological engineering and graduating by June 2029 required. Candidates going into senior year are preferred.
• Must be willing to live in the Overland Park area for Summer 2027 (housing will not be provided).
• ArcGIS and/or AutoCAD experience preferred.

Job description

SCS Engineers is looking for a summer 2027 intern for our Overland Park, KS office. This opportunity offers valuable hands‑on experience in both technical and environmental business operations through a diverse range of client projects while giving you the chance to explore the beginnings of your own career path.

As an intern, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals on projects centered around various aspects of site inspections and site history review, geographic information systems (GIS), soil and groundwater investigation/remediation, brownfield redevelopment, site development, and other projects. You will typically work 40 hours per week and be based in the Overland Park office 5 days a week.

Qualifications

Pay Range

USD $21.00 - USD $24.00 /Hr.
