Job summary

JBC Technologies, Inc. in North Ridgeville, Ohio, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering student for a paid, full-time Engineering Rotational Internship.

The 12–16 week program provides hands-on experience across manufacturing, engineering, design engineering, and quality, culminating in a cross-functional capstone project presented to leadership. As an Engineering Intern, you will rotate through machine operation, CAD/CAM design and operation, and quality.

Qualifications

• Engineering, engineering technologies, or equivalent technical candidate interested in manufacturing operations.
• 0-3 years working in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience operating and setting up manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with rotary die-cutting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Exposure to manufacturing process design.
• Set up, operation, troubleshoot, and teardown of production work.
• Optimize manufacturing lines, workflow efficiency, cycle time reduction, and lean manufacturing principles.
• First Article Inspection, in-process checks, and final piece checks.
• Manufacturing documentation to include work instructions, quality alerts, job order processing, and information systems recording.
• Translating technical requirements and CAD models into CAM programs for equipment.
• Produce prototypes and low-volume runs for critical customers.
• Conduct DFMA and determine production process method.
• Support the Production Part Approval Process through Design Reviews, Process Flows, FMEA, and Control Plans.
• Conduct First Article Inspections and learn to use various tools and devices.
• Conduct statistical analysis of measurements to support Gage R&R and Process Capability studies.
