Job summary

American Medical Response (AMR) in Las Vegas is offering an EMT training pathway designed to prepare you for the National Registry EMT exam. The ten-week academy is paid, with the goal of transferring you to a full-time EMT role upon licensure.

Prerequisites include being 18+, possessing a HS diploma or GED, and passing health and background screenings. After completion, you will join AMR Las Vegas and MedicWest Ambulance with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Ability to meet health standards for the program (immunizations, screenings).
• Successfully complete pre-employment screening (background checks, drug testing, cognitive screening, physical agility test).
• Valid state driver’s license (1 year driving experience).
• One year healthcare or military work experience preferred.
• Sign 12-month service commitment.

Responsibilities

• Drive emergency vehicle to and from calls and transport patients safely.
• Demonstrate competency in basic life support and EMT protocols.
• Assist with patient transfer and securement in ambulance.
• Initiate patient treatment using EMT protocols.
• Document and communicate patient information accurately.
• Inspect and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Complete documentation per procedures and report delays or issues.
