Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Dietetics or Nutrition or related field; working toward RD/RDN credentialing.
• Experience updating menus and substitutions in production/meal service.
• Ability to manage nutritional data base including allergens.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain special diets within the school district; work with families and Coordinator Child Nutrition.
• Update menus as necessary, providing substitutions with product changes and communicating to staff.
• Update production records and maintain production documentation.
• Maintain nutritional data base to include allergens in products.
• Daily communication with schools regarding portion sizes for meals being served.
• Assist with site reviews and planning caterings.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION LEVEL:

Current undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field, working toward eligibility for Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credentialing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES

• Manage and maintain special diets within the school district – work with families, Health Services and Coordinator Child Nutrition
• Update menus as necessary, providing necessary substitutions with product changes, communicating to staff involved with preparation and meal service.
• Update production records
• Maintain nutritional data base to include allergens in products
• Daily communication with schools regarding portion sizes for meals being served
• Assist with site reviews
• Assist with planning caterings
• Other duties as assigned

PAY INFORMATION

Level DX, starting at $20.00 per hour

Pay Day: Last working day of each month.
