Job summary

Stellar Industries, Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Design Engineer Intern to support the development and documentation of mechanical systems. You will assist with design calculations, create production drawings and participate in reviews, using AutoCAD, SolidWorks and FEA simulations.

Currently enrolled in mechanical, industrial, or aerospace engineering, you will gain hands-on experience in manufacturing capabilities, project collaboration and cost/objective-driven design within a team environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled undergraduate studying mechanical, industrial, or aerospace engineering.
• Proficient with CAD tools AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Familiar with MRP systems and MS Office.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform design calculations and prepare equipment/material specifications.
• Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks and FEA simulations for designs.
• Develop production and assembly drawings per layouts.
• Review designs for compliance with standards and specs.
• Coordinate technical development, scheduling and problem resolution.
• Assist with duties assigned by Engineering Manager.
