Job summary

EIC (Experience Internship Canada) is seeking a motivated Corporate Finance, Accounting & Controlling Intern to join our Boston or NYC offices. You will support financial monitoring, data preparation, and variance analysis across activities, working with a supervisor to learn priorities and take on responsibilities as you grow.

You should be studying finance, accounting, or business, comfortable with Excel, and able to communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Studying finance, accounting, management accounting or business.
• Understand accounting fundamentals and the main financial statements.
• Comfortable with Excel and careful when reconciling data.
• Rigorous, discreet and analytical.
• Able to communicate in English; French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Accounting support: organize records and prep information for accounting stakeholders.
• Reconciliation: check consistency between invoices, payments and tracking data.
• Reporting: prepare financial reports and update performance metrics.
• Budgeting: contribute to forecasts and spending analysis by activity.
• Management accounting: analyze differences between actual results and forecasts.
• Profitability: help analyze costs and margins with your supervisor.
• Processes: suggest improvements to approval workflows and data collection.
• Documentation: explain calculation methods and prepare materials for financial reviews.
