Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification must remain current during employment.
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledgeable of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities.
• Understand and follow Life Care’s Code of Conduct and compliance training.

Responsibilities

• Pass ice, water, and distribute snacks to residents; clean nourishment refrigerators and carts.
• Assist with passing and retrieval of meal trays and help clean dining areas after meals.
• Make unoccupied beds and change bed linens.
• Organize residents' drawers and closets and label personal items.
• Organize shower rooms and clean utility rooms; ensure adequate inventory.
• Provide 1:1 attention to cognitively impaired residents.
• Deliver residents' mail.
• Transport wheelchair-bound residents to and from rooms.
• Respond to call lights promptly.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance and good judgment.
• Communicate and function on an interdisciplinary team.
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Lift 35 lbs floor to waist, 35 lbs waist to shoulder, 35 lbs carry, and push/pull 35 lbs.
